Cut the peeled cucumber into 4" lengths. Cut each piece on
the diagonal, leaving a 1/4 " bottom. Using a cherry tomato
corer, cut a circular hole into the center removing the seeds, and/or
center, and leaving a hole for filling. Cut the prepared celery
stalks into 4" pieces. Level the bottom by taking off a slice
using a vegetable peeler. It should not roll on the plate. Remove
the seeds and stem section from the tomatoes using a cherry tomato
corer. Turn up side dowm on paper toweling to drain. Level by taking
off a thin slice from the bottom. Fill a Flavor Express bellows
with the hummus, another with the pesto. Using the large needle
fill the vegetables.
Hints/Tips:
A grapefruit knife also works to core a cherry tomato. Its serrated
edge is perfect for removing the seeds and core. It may also be
used to hollow the cucumber. Try filling steamed vegetable with
your favorite dip. Having the vegetables already filled makes for
a neater and easier feast.
